The migration is one of the major problems not only for Central America, but for most of the countries which are still far away from a healthy economy. Education supposed to be a solution in long term, but none of the affected governments seems to develop integral programs focused to improve the conditions of education, health and security for their people.
Instead of that, the governments are involved more and more in a corruption game that is ruled by “narco-states” just like is happening in Mexico in the last years. Some presidents used their power and influence to ensure their families stability at the expense of the weak legal support that control their countries.
Costa Rica has maintained a level in the cost of life higher than most of Latin-American area, but this situation has been affected by the transit of narcotics across the territory. Added, an increasing in migration of people with low acquisitive possibilities is creating groups of poverty around the main city that drug dealers use to distribute their substances.
The role of USA in the fight against the migration is just focused in stop the process, but it doesn´t attack the root of the problem. Maybe, the solution requires that all the countries work together in order to find an integral solution that improves the way of life for all the area, supported in education and security, but the money produced by illegal substances seems more powerful than the isolated efforts from the policeman and the intelligence agencies.

  2. In my opinion migration is a phenomenon that has multiple roots. Sometimes people migrate thinking that money is easily available in other countries like the US, but everything is a lie.
I believe that countries should receive help from the most developed and rich countries, so that people get opportunities in their own country and do not migrate.
Definitely migration is a very serious problem for the recipient countries, so solutions must also come from those countries as well.
In Costa Rica we have migration to other countries, but we are affected by the migration of other foreigners such as Nicaraguans, Colombians, Cubans and more recently Venezuelans.
It seems to me, that Costa Rica must open the doors to foreigners who come to work and contribute to our economy. Costa Rica must have the necessary controls for migrants whether they are illegal, or not under the control of the government. It should be considered that the lack of control in the number of migrants entering Costa Rica is increased by social problems such as drogradicion, insecurity and violence.
It is important that all countries consider human rights, equality between men and share wealth with those who have no resources. Education, love of life, protection for the environment and equality between all human beings should be promoted, regardless of country of origin or skin color.
From my point of view, the narco traffic is the result of a phenomenon deeper than the simple desire to earn money. It seems to me that the result of social problems, lack of opportunities, access to education and health facilities.
The video does not show anything different than what everyone already knows and sees daily news. Countries and politicians must invest resources and try harder to achieve changes that favor living conditions, to avoid drug trafficking and migration. Everybody must understand that change will not be quick, that can take many years, but we must start now and each of us can be a part.

During many years the immigration has increased, not only in our country, but in many countries around the world.

Many families are disintegrated in Costa Rica, because that one father, mother, soon, daughter, everybody has had to go to other country.

In Costa Rica, there are many reasons why people migrate to the other country for example: in search of the American dream that does not exist. In some cases poverty is the reason, unemployment or try to find new sources of employment that they don’t have in our Country. They also try to improve their working conditions, run away from problems with someone the law or gangs of drugs traffic. In occasions the close of the factory or company that they work in for many long years.

The result of this situation are many social, cultural and economic problems in our country. This problem is repeated in other countries the world. In Costa Rica the law the immigrants is more tolerant, that other countries for example United States.

With the election the new president Trump, the life of the immigrants is very hard, because he does not want that to this country to enter more immigrants. On the contrary, he wants to return each one at their own country.

He has made new regulations to limit the immigration from countries in the Middle East, this is a problem for the many families who have lived for many years in the United States.

The migration never will end, despite the obstacles and risks faced by immigrants through their passage through Central America to enter the United States. There are always people willing to look for a better future, even risk their lives.

The governments of the countries have an obligation to ensure the welfare of their people. For that reason, they must work hard so their people have the necessary conditions to live properly and honestly.

  4. I think....

The Central American migration to the United States, it is a recurrent practice for several decades ago and increasing every year. The problem could be analyzed from two perspectives: the dangers than the immigrants must face in their journey from their countries of origin to the USA, the possibility of crossing the border or not and their survival in the destination country.
However, countries that encourage the migration of their inhabitants should analyze the causes and try to propose viable solutions that provide society with greater sources of employment, which can reduce poverty and consequently the violence. Education is an important point in this scheme. A society who provides education to his people, necessarily best rates will have.
Moreover, drug traffic affects the region increasing violence and murder cases. When the FARC’s and the Colombian Government sign the Peace Treatment, has increased the movement of drugs and the commercialization of arms. Aspects like those, impulse to people leave their countries.
Another aspect to consider is the immigrant's stay in the United States. Many manage to survive, passing unnoticed; however, others do not have the same luck and they are taken to jail.
A clear example is Moisés Cedillo, from San Miguel, El Salvador who stayed in the USA from 7 October 2008 until 13 March 2015, when he was taken 6 months in prison where he suffered abuses and discrimination by origin. Then, he was deported to his country.
In conclusion, Governments must contribute more in education to generate more sources of employment that make a sustainable reality of its citizens, principally in children who they are the future of the nations.

In my opinion, the immigration is a big problem that not only affects Central America. Immigration is the international movement of people into a destination country of which they are not natives or where they do not possess citizenship to settle or reside there, especially as permanent residents or naturalized citizens, or to take-up employment as a migrant worker or temporarily as a foreign worker.
When people speak today of the effects of immigration they usually refer to our economy. Some people believe that immigration should be encouraged and that it helps our economy as immigrants are willing to do jobs established citizens do not.
Some people have immigrated to escape religious persecution, the criminal violence, unemployment problems or for a difficult economic situation. I think that countries with these problems should seek alliances with rich countries who help to improve education and generate new employment options.
The violence problem is a result of the bad education, because if a country not invest for education many children take the streets like their home and they start to consume drugs and murder for money.
Costa Rica has become a transit area for migrants from other Central American countries who are seeking refuge here such as Nicaraguans, Colombians, Venezuelans and others or trying to get to the United States.

  6. Migration has been increasing by unemployment, poverty and violence in the region, in search of the American dream.
Because of this many people take advantage and seek earnings to ribs of all the people who look for that dream without knowing to what it is possible to face, the people treats, violations, the death, among many other cases are of the options to Which They take risks.
In Costa Rica, the process of migration to the United States where it has become a transit area for migrants from other Central American countries who seek refuge here or try to reach the United States.
Donald Trump, hardened the border guard with anti-immigration measures such as the border wall between Mexico and the United States, this migratory pressure generated a large business coyotaje activating their networks, which creates a concern about the increase in violence.

  7. And what do we call migrant?
The sun, the star of life that is born every day for all equally and for all equally falls every afternoon. I don`t see boundaries in maps that haven`t been created by men, so we are the men who divide the world into sections of land, the same mother earth that kindly provides us without expecting anything in return for resources to live.
Nowadays you hear many news or social networks on this subject and we see many people and families suffer because of this, perhaps for the search of an American dream that for many is impossible.
Not all of us have the same opportunities and that brings about unemployment, violence and other risk factors for the population.
People decide to go to other countries with the dream of finding the stability that does not have in their country and with the aim of giving their family a little economic relief and so they can get ahead, maybe to change the destiny of their children by giving them studies and that they can achieve a better future, which also does not guarantee a great economic solvency because today a title is not synonymous with work, and we see it because there are many people with university degrees working on things totally different from those Studied for lack of opportunities, little study or overqualified.
The giant that dominates the world, generates instability around the world and raises walls of greed.

  8. Immigration is considered one of the biggest problems in many developed countries around the World, migration have been increasing during the past decade, people must to obligate to go out for your country and star a new life in a foreign country.
People who have been forced to flee their countries because of increased unemployment, poverty, and violence. They travel only to found a better place, where to live, leting back families, friends, and sons.
According to the last Costa Rican national census there were more than 700.000 Nicaraguan immigrants registered and many more that are illegally in the country and we have no infrastructure to support this massive migration from our neighbors.
Costa Rica is a not developed country and the immigration is a problem because we don’t have the infrastructure to support them. They live in a poor condition and receive benefits like social security, education and many of them have received house, all of this free.
I think, organizations like Nations United or ORG’s they should to help countries like Costa Rica, to bring support economical to the migrates.

  9. The emigration is a problem who increase every day; All Central America's countries live it with his people. Some areas has highest violence levels in his streets such as areas of other countries. The root cause is the economic problems, the people do not have money to buy food, household, clothing, and stuff like that. The people who have not studied at school or university have carried wiht them the violence and murder at the cities or countries that they go.

The Maras out of El Salvador are a good example of these kind of groups that have been appeared by emigration in Latin America. The public insecurity in Costa Rica is increasing at today. We have learned to live with drug dealers, murderers, and other related problems such as human trafficking, abductions, organ trafficking and prostitution.
The governments is traying to fight against these problems in every country in Central America; The courts of justice is making the job, but they are insufficient to win. It is necessary that the governments of Central America and US will work together in the creation of a statute for welfare of emigrants and the people who are staying at home.
